    The Volcano

    Oak and Epoxy

    I named this The Volcano

Several people saw a Volcano in the grain pattern, so I embellished that theme by expanding the grains and adding colored epoxy to enhance the pattern.

The closer you look the more  subtle and intricate details can be seen.

The top side is finished in high gloss, food grade epoxy resin.

Turn it over for a food grade oiled cutting board

    River Table

    Oak, Epoxy, Metal

The River is two slabs of white oak approximately 12-13 inches wide, 54 inches long and 1 3/4 inches thick, with colored epoxy running down the center, making the total width 30 inches.

I installed 11/2 inch metal angle iron to each end as an acand to lend support to the overall structure.

This was commissioned to be an outdoor patio table. So I used an  exceptional UV resistance Epoxy designed to finish Airplane hanger floors. The underside looks as good as the top but with a slightly different pattern, giving two looks in one piece.

This is how the wood slabs are stored and dried for at least two years before they can be used.
